Manchester United are reportedly keeping a close eye on Crystal Palace captain Marc Guehi, amid growing signs that he may leave Selhurst Park next year.
According to multiple reports, United have approached Palace to gauge their asking price for the England centre-back, who could walk into United’s defence as a starter.
Guehi set for Palace exit after rejecting new contract
The interest comes as Guehi nears the end of his contract, and his future at Palace appears increasingly unsettled.
Manager Oliver Glasner has publicly confirmed that the 25-year-old has told the club he will not sign a new long-term deal. Glasner said, “I think Marc has already told us that he doesn’t sign a new contract, so he will leave next year.
“The club wanted him to stay. They offered Marc a new contract. But he said: ‘No, I want to do something different.’ And that’s normal.”

United view Guehi as long-term successor to Maguire
Guehi’s situation comes at a time when Manchester United are also facing uncertainty over Harry Maguire’s future.
The England defender has entered the final stretch of his contract, and there is a growing feeling inside the club that they need to plan for life beyond him.
Maguire has fought his way back into the team over the past year, but the Red Devils are likely to lose him at the end of his contract.
They want a younger defender who can take over the role permanently, and Guehi is seen as the ideal profile for that. He is Premier League proven, already established at international level, and still has his best years ahead of him.
With Guehi set to leave Palace and Maguire approaching a crossroads in his own career, the pieces are already starting to move.
United now have a clear chance to secure the defender they see as part of their next era – but only if they act before a rival does.
