Sheffield United have reappointed Chris Wilder as manager at Bramall Lane following the departure of Ruben Selles.
The Blades, who are rock-bottom in the Championship, sacked Selles after just three months in charge.
Under the Spaniard, United got off to a dismal start, suffering heavy defeats to Bristol City and Ipswich Town.

Chris Wilder reappointed
The 57-year-old has put pen to paper on a contract until the summer of 2027, marking his third stint in charge of the Blades.
Wilder, who has enjoyed huge success at Bramall Lane in the past, guided Sheffield United from League One to the Premier League during his first reign.
More recently, the Englishman was sacked following United’s disappointing play-off final loss to Sunderland last season.
The former Middlesbrough and Watford boss will take the hot seat for the Blades’ upcoming match against Charlton Athletic on Saturday.

Time for change?
After their 5-0 thrashing at Ipswich last week, it was clear that something needed to change at Bramall Lane.
“Following a difficult start to the season, the board felt it necessary to make a change in order to stabilise performances and strengthen our push for promotion,” a statement by the board of directors at Sheffield United read.
“While the adoption of a different style of play was pursued with ambition, results have clearly not met expectations.
“Chris Wilder returns with proven leadership and an unparalleled understanding of Sheffield United.
“We are confident he is the right person to restore momentum, unite the squad and supporters, and deliver the results necessary to achieve our objectives this season.
“We would like to thank Ruben Selles for his hard work and professionalism during his time at the club.
“Responsibility for recent results lies with us owners, and we remain fully committed to supporting the team and pursuing promotion.”
Third time’s a charm, ay?
