Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Joao Gomes is once again attracting interest from Manchester United as the club looks to strengthen its midfield options ahead of the next transfer window.
However, despite the growing noise, Wolves remain firm in their stance that the Brazilian is not for sale unless an exceptional offer arrives.
Reports claim that Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester United have all asked for fresh information on Gomes’ situation.
Even so, Wolves are said to be unwilling to consider a departure this month, with only a huge bid strong enough to force a rethink.

Gomes open to United move, but may be forced to wait
According to reports, Gomes is open to a move to Manchester United in January. A fee of around £44 million is believed to be what Wolves would demand if they were to negotiate.
There is also a sense that United see Gomes as a long-term piece of their midfield rebuild due to his energy, defensive work and ability to influence transitions.
Wolves, however, have already taken steps to protect their asset. Earlier this year, the club confirmed that Gomes signed a new long-term contract that keeps him at Molineux until 2030, with an option for an additional year.
His importance to the team has only grown since then, making Wolves even more resistant to the idea of letting him go mid-season.
Wolves have reportedly made it clear that they do not wish to lose him in January.
For Manchester United, this means that securing Gomes may require waiting until the summer or making an offer so large that Wolves simply cannot refuse it.
